While the Fed has a dual mandate of maximum employment and price stability, lately there has been considerable discussion about the how much the Fed should let global considerations factor into …

Every once in a while I publish the complete post from our member’s site,
Wolf on Wall Street.
Believe it or not, even though this is a member’s site, I have a keen interest in seeing the little guy who doesn’t mind hard work, beat the street and occasionally we are at areas in the market where you …

Today was the much anticipated F_O_M_C removal of patience, yet the market knee jerked higher, I wonder if there was a leak as to what dovish bones Yellen and co. would throw the market to cushion the sudden lack of the F_E_D put or as you might call it, “uncertainty”. Last Tuesday we called a bounce that we…

This is the seventh year in a row I have offered a retrospective look at the year in VIX and Volatility, which is my attempt to cram some of the highlights of the year in volatility onto one eye chart graphic with a (somewhat) manageable number of annotations. Looking at a lot of charts on my watchlists, I find quite a few that look like Pandora, FB, NFLX, AMZN, etc…
Pandora looking like a rather large H&S top coming off the right shoulder.
FB, not the textbook H&S top, but volume is right for the pattern and it certainly hasn’t made a higher high.
NFLX looks quite a…

Someone once said, “To make money in the market, you have to see what the crowd missed”, these days the crowd seems to think “This time is different”, there hasn’t been a bubble I’ve researched going back to the Dutch Tulip Craze in the 17th century that didn’t have a reason why, “This time is different”. I think those might …

Here’s some analysis from
Wolf on Wall Street tonight
(*links to past Wolf on Wall Street articles/posts only work for members)
I’ll keep it short tonight, but VERY on point with one of the most important charts of the last week, perhaps of the year, perhaps even longer.
I think the event of the day, perhaps even the event of

Since it’s a special day with today’s FOMC policy announcement which was a dud, I thought I might share the Wolf on Wall Street Daily Wrap. I  hope you enjoy it.
“Careful” may have been the word of the day from my perspective, there are several very simple reasons for that.
One reason is the F_O_M_C “knee-Jerk” reaction, whether we
